My Mother's Day Present
Bryant gave this to me for an early Mother's Day present. He worked so hard on it, after he painted the house for me this weekend. Am I a lucky woman or what? I LOVE my family tree! Thank you, Bryant.

Dear Sadie,
Yesterday you really cracked me up, so I wanted to write it down (or type it up) before I forgot. A man came over and measured our countertops. You were very curious about a strange man being in our house. You asked me what he was doing and I tried to explain things to you. By the time he left you would wave at him. But then, as soon as he left and shut the door, you said "bad guy."

Dear Sadie,
You're almost 25 months old now, and this is what you are up to:
You really want to ride a bike. When you see Sibley's old scooter in the garage, you say "ride bike!". (We need to get you a tricycle.)
Unfortunately, you have learned from your big sisters how to say shut up, except you say "shut-it-up." You told the seagulls on Nemo the other day to shut-it-up. We are trying not to encourage this behavior, but it is pretty funny when you say it at just the appropriate time.
If you think any of us are arguing with each other, you yell "stop it" or "be nice."
You are in the "I do it" stage. You want to do everything by yourself.
You love to do knuckles and high fives. You even say "down low" with the high fives.
You love to talk on the phone. No matter who I am talking to, you always try to strip the phone from my hands.
Also, you call everyone a "him." Today you said, "Kiba's...I want to see him." We knew you meant "Skibas...I want to see them."
You love to make up songs. Yesterday your dad and I took you for a three mile walk, and you sang songs to yourself the whole time. You were making up songs about the stars. You love to see the animals when we go on our walks, especially this sweet little colt that you call "baby horsey." There are also a set of twin baby goats that you love.

Last weekend we went to Bryant's SRP Employee Easter Egg Hunt and had so much fun. Even Skyler the teenager had fun, but I realized when I started blogging that I didn't get any pictures of her while we were there. Oops! Anyway, they had all kinds of fun stuff to do. My favorite part, besides the petting zoo, was just sitting on a blanket, relaxing, and having lunch with the family. I tried to blog about it last week, but blogger was giving me a really hard time, so I got very frustrated and had to wait a whole nother week.

My personal favorite...The Petting Zoo!
The petting zoo was so cute and fun. They had these little pygmy chickens from Malaysia. The farmer told me they were the smallest chickens in the world. Most people just thought they were babies because they were so small, but the farmer said they were so old that they had quit laying. They are also known for being very gentle. I loved the little pot belly pig. His little tail was constantly swishing back and forth and I really wanted to take him home with me.
