Well, now I feel bad...

Now I feel bad about calling Sadie "fat" and "vampire baby." My doctors were getting really concerned about her growth, so they scheduled an ultrasound for today to figure out why she is measuring so far ahead. It turns out she is already 5 lbs. 8 oz. and is in the 94th percentile. That, given my history, led the doctors to diagnose me with gestational diabetes. So, I guess it's all my fault that she's so big. I will go to a class next week and learn how to monitor my blood sugar, etc. While I am worried about her, I am trying to look on the bright side. Here are a couple of positives that have crossed my mind:
1. Since I will more than likely have a C-section, now I can plan for her birth. Planning is good, right ladies?
2. Again, since I will more than likely have a C-section, no pushing!!! Pushing is bad, right ladies?
P.S. They couldn't get any good pictures today, but now I will have an ultrasound every week to monitor her growth, so we'll see if she cooperates next week.

My Vampire Baby and other random stuff...

First of all, we are in our new house and we love it! It is amazing to have all this extra room. We did away with our old home number. If you need to call us, you can still reach us on our cells. Bryant's is 480.227.7111 and mine is 480.227.0902.

Also, I am convinced that a vampire baby grows within my belly. Those of you who read the Twilight series know that when Bella was pregnant with Renesme, she grew and matured at super speed. My Sadie Louise is really mature for her age too. She is already measuring at 33 weeks and I am only 31 weeks tomorrow. I am also 50% effaced now, so they had to give me another steroid booster for her lungs today. I am trying to keep her in there as long as I can...I don't want to have a baby and leave her at the hospital. I think she has other plans, though. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
