Men are governed by lines of intellect- women: by curves of emotion.

For Memorial Day...

I wanted to show you a true American hero, one who made the ultimate sacrifice. I did not have the privilege of knowing him, but he nevertheless died for me. Senior Airman Mark Forester, thank you. Roll Tide, Jag 28!

Dear Sadie,

You'll be 14 months old tomorrow. You are getting so big. Here is what you are doing these days: -You are so obsessed with your daddy. All day long, you talk about "Da-da" while he's at work. You even make up songs about him. You also like to find pictures of him around the house and carry them around with you. You even thought you spotted him at the grocery store the other day on a Hanes underwear package. You picked that package up and carried it all over the store, talking about your daddy the whole time. -You're learning to go up and down the stairs, but you have a lot of accidents. -You and your Grandma Slade had lots of fun while she was here helping us last week. You learned how to say "Grandma." -You love to watch the Laurie Berkner Band DVD. You call it "Hoo-wah," because that is part of your favorite song. You always ask for "Hoo-wah." -You prefer the outside. You are always fussing to go on the front or back porch. I hate to let you on the front porch, though, because you are getting fast and the rocks don't bother your feet one bit. You head straight over the rocks and toward the road, so I like to keep you in the fenced back yard. You still try to eat rocks, but that's not nearly as bad as walking in the road, so I have to pick my battles.

Sibley turns 9!

For Sibley's birthday this year, we had a couple of friends over and went to Paint Time Pottery for some arts and crafts projects. It was lots of fun, and all of the girls did so well on their projects.

Good job, Skyler!

We'll miss your concerts. Thank you for making us proud.
